Looking for a high-performance, unlimited aerobatic biplane, but don't want to pay an arm and a leg or build one from scratch? This may be just what you're looking for. I lost my medical certification, so I am selling my approximately 80% completed Christen Eagle II project. Here are some details:
Factory new (zero time) 200 HP lycoming AEIO-360-A1D engine, with Sky Dynamics Magnesium Maxi-sump with swinging oil pickup, stainless steel intake manifold, and stainless steel 4-into-1 exhaust
New Hartzell constant-speed prop
Christen inverted oil system
Belly and wingtip strobes
New Terra transponder and transceiver
All antennas are internally mounted Advanced Aircraft Electronics units
All kits up to and including 920 Cowling Kit
All wiring harnessess, sensors and mounting trays for Dynon Glass Cockpit units EFIS-D100 and EMS-D120, including fuel flow sensor and all other engine sensors (original round gauges and instruments already installed)
The price is $75,000. I have over $115,000 and 4000 hours invested in the project. I have all receipts. All kits were purchased directly from Aviat.
Construction is complete up to hooking up the engine accessories (the engine and engine mount are already installed on the plane). Wings, control surfaces and tail structures are ready for fabric and paint. Canopy is complete and ready for paint. Still to be done are the electrical system hookup, avionics mounting, engine hookup, cowling, fabric, rigging and painting.
Only kits that still need to be purchased are the 921 Rigging Kit, 922 Fairings Kit, and 923 Covering and Prefinish Kit. Upper wing is still in its moving crate, and I still have the lower wing crates available to re-crate the lower wings for shipping.
Are there any Eagle lovers out there able to give my project a good home?
Thanks.
